The All Rise Mission
I would like to invite everyone of all ages and all artistic abilities to help with my mission. The theme is wings. Use your choice of tools/mediums to create an original drawing, painting, mixed media, photograph, even a piece you sew or crotchet to create any type of wings. They can be from angels, birds, fairies, dragonflies or whatever being suits you, real or mythical. Have fun! Use your imagination! Play with colors! Get whimsical!
Why wings?
I went to see “to kill a mockingbird” on broadway. When the bailiff said “all rise” in the final court scene, it hit me like a bolt of lightning. We've all heard that phrase thousands of times, but it got me thinking of how powerful those two words are together and how we could "All rise" together. For me, wings represent justice, rising above all the turmoil and hatred. They represent freedom, hope, happiness, peace, joy, love and light.
